A playful personal project capturing the essence of trekking up Mount Kaukau in Te Whanganui-a-tara, Wellington.
Mount Kaukau is the most visible high point in the Wellington landscape, and a walk up there is unbeatable, whether a good or bad day! Situated just a ten-minute drive from my place, it's quite truly in my backyard, so I've spent a lot of my time exploring the various routes to the summit. In this piece, I wanted to reflect the mana of the maunga, native flora and fauna, the experience of the climb with my pal and the stunning views of the city and surrounding suburbs.
